KINDERTONS ACCIDENT MANAGEMENT will extend its sponsorship of Crewe FC into a second year for the 2017/18 season as it looks to grow its community involvement and charity activities.

2016/17 was the first season of sponsorship and Kindertons has found Crewe FC to be on the ball in the community.

Kinderton’s Dan Athorn, a former Crewe player himself, said: “During our first year we have been fortunate to take part in some great events organised by the club, seen some great community spirit and can be proud in saying that we have been part of some great strides forward in the development of Crewe FC.

“We hoped to be able to make a difference to a club that itself makes such a difference to so many in our community. This is now something our business can count amongst its highest achievements.  We too have benefitted from the relationship through the Crewe FC Colour Run, Kindertons staff Game, attendance at the annual Sportsman’s dinner and having our name associated with the upcoming Kindertons Cup – a tournament that will host around 1000 children over 2 weekends in July.”

The Crewe FC Colour Run was a highlight of last season with 65 Kindertons staff taking part and helping to raise £4000 for St Luke’s Cheshire Hospice.

Crewe FC brings together over 24 teams and 400 members of all ages; with even more involved through the Free Football Fridays for 5-7 year olds.  As part of its expansion, the club will for the first time be supporting a team in the Crewe and District Sunday league.

Kindertons is also looking to support Crewe FC during its discussions with the Cheshire FA and Cheshire East about securing a dedicated facility for the future.

Dan said: “As a business we want to be able to support our local community and I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Crewe FC in allowing us to do this in a way that has also brought great enjoyment and involvement.  I hope that we can become more involved and continue to forge a partnership that we, our staff and the team at Crewe FC can be proud of.”
